This Pair of Foo Dogs are considered Guardian Dogs and are made to be sold as a pair. There is a male and a female, and they are believed to protect and ward off evil spirits in Chinese culture. The male has his foot resting on a globe and should be placed on the left side of a doorway, and the female has her foot resting on a youth and should be placed on the right side of a doorway. Together they are meant to guard and protect the household from evil spirits. This pair is made from bronze and has oval keepsake boxes in the base.
