Here is a genuine Ogee Mirror with the original back (pictured) and glass. This simple design dates back to the 19th century and is still used today. The origins of this design date back to the 12th century and were used extensively in architecture. In the Greek Revival Era, we see this design used in mirrors and clocks. This particular mirror came from a farmhouse in Gray, Maine, and was totally intact. It was in perfect shape and ready to be displayed in any home after restoration by our professional crew. The frame is crotch mahogany with no chips or cracks, and the back is original to the piece. This wonderful mirror is a true antique with a great history. You will want to add it to your collection!
